PSB Sub 5i-Starts to rumble continously when the stereo is off

PSB Sub has come back the second time under warranty repairs. The whole driver and inside has now been replaced. (virtually a new sub).It went well for a couple of days. I turned the Home theatre system off and as always leave the subwoofer on. After a 3 to 4 hours the unit started rumbling continously and would not stop. I turned it off at the wall and then turned it on again and after a nother 3-4 hours the problem recourred,
I love my PSB speakers but the sub is going to ahve to go back a third time and I am, getting disillusioned.

can you help

thanks Ian

Had this same problem with a Yamaha sub. Unfortunately it's the amp section in the sub. If they can't fix it in the shop (problem is they don't leave it on long enough for the problem to return), the only option is replacement. I buy exclusively on AmEx cards, because they cover this kind of stuff - an additional 1 year warranty on anything you buy.

SOURCE: No LED light on PSB Alpha Subzero-i and keeps blowing fuses.

Others have had similar problems with the amp on this model. There is probably a circuit design error which causes some components to blow and as far as I've read, fixing it (or replacing the fuse) won't make the problem go away for long. Try contacting PSB or the retailer.

My Makita DGA505 Angle Grinder with a BL Motor starts then quits. This is the second time it has happened.

Out of warranty ... time for a replacement machine.
I would choose a different make. Assuming the batery is not the fault.

Ive had this subwofer and systems for 4 or so years and everything was great but now when i turn on the system the subwofer turns on then turns off a second or 2 later. everything else is working great...

Hi.
You have a capacitor that has gone out on your sub, most likely on the power supply board.

Too bad it's not under warranty, you could sent it in for warranty repair work.

But, it's not, so you will have to pay to get it fixed instead.
If you take the sub to Fry's Best Buy, or Radio Shack, they should be able to repair it fairly cheaply, and get you back to having full function of the sub again.

I hope this helps you out, and have a good day.

I have no green power light on my subsonic 5i which screws do i remove to replace a fuse inside

Make sure you the plug eorks before you do anything. Plug in a lamp or something. The fuse is inside where you plug the input.

Crackling coming from Velodyne DD-10 subwoofer

One of 2 things is going on.

First, the servo mounted in the driver may be going bad or is picking up some noise.

Second, Something in the amp section is going bad, hard to pinpoint the exact problem.

you say that it plays, so I tend to think it is the driver mounted servo unit.

If it is within the warranty time, take the unit back to the retailer you purchased it from, if not contact Velodyne for repair.

BOSH PSB 600 RES drill will not restart

Hi, Sounds like you have a pinched wire somewhere. When you say you somehow make it work are you bending the powercord, shaking the drill or what? Any of those things would suggest a pinched wire or broken switch. Make sure the switches for reverse and hammer work in both directions. You say it is relatively new and there is no smell so I would not suspect the brushes and it doesn,t sound like it is running long enough to overheat anyway. The best advice I can give you is that the drill needs to be opened and examined, and if you have an ohm meter check all of the connections from the power cord to the trigger. If you don't feel comfortable with that then you may want to return it under your warranty or you may want to do that anyway. Good Luck!

R4DS and Rumble Pack

Oops! First I would try copying your entire SD contents to a folder on your computer. This will validate if all files are in tact and readable. Then copy them back (replacing them). it could also be that the 'drop' jarred something loose inside your DS. Can you play a legit DS game using the original card? If not, you may have an internal issue. You can goto Nintendo's site (http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/repair/dslite_repair_home.jsp), put in your serial number to see if you're still under warranty. I believe for a "white-screen" issue (according to their website) you can mail it back & get it fixed for free. Did you try putting your R4 into someone else's DS?
The issue with the Rumble pack seems to be consistent with an internal issue with your DS.
Good luck!

Sub rumbles at very low freq that I cannot raise my output level on the sub

Hello,
That rumble could be several things, start by switching your patch cables to see if there is a fault in the sine. If not it could be the amplifier trying to pull a constant source of current through it to operate and is being corrupted by a fault in the circuitry, or a feed back look of some sort. Either way, if you can't find a problem with your input signal, your sub will need repair or replacement. I hope this helps...
