Horizontal line of 28 boxes 3/8 inch on a side, 6.5 inches from the bottom of the screen. Close examination of boxes show a matrix of vertical bars, 6 columns and three rows. Bars vary in color and seem to change slightly in intensity and color with scene being displayed. Other then distracting line of boxes, images is HD quality. Problem first appeared 2nd week of Nov 07.
Same TV, Same problem on top 1/3 of screen. No one seems to know and finding out that Sony sucks. TV is 3 yrs old. Got Charter Cable with DVR. Bypassed everything, no differance. Antenna or componant, makes no differance. DVD does it too. Someone told me its a B block at $1100. I find that hard to believe. Any other ideas anyone ? dasnj@sbcglobal.net
Panasonic 32 inch LCD. started with squares, 1/2 inch on the top of the screen then a second row appeared this time it was long rectangles, about 2 inches long, now a third row has appeared covering more than half the screen from top down. This only happens when the cable box connection is selected. Bars are there even if cable is disconnected. Works fine with DVD or plain TV.
Tried turning off, unplugging etc.
