Got a Hitachi rear projection model # 50ux58b. Kids been playing the Wii and all of a sudden no power. Course nobody knows nothing. You know the story. Anyway Fuse and cap probably need replaced. Any idea where those specific parts are? Meaning inside the TV. I can take off the backside and look for a burnt fuse? Maybe get a kit and a soldering gun and take a chance? Tv was free from some good friends. What do you think?

the three guns that the lenses drive operate at 28kv.
there are very high and dangerous voltages in a tv set.
you can look for the fuse main pc board by the power cord..if it is black,there is a major short.if it is just barely blown,change it.
the fuses are 3ag glass type and just pop in. use a set of rubber gloves and insulated pliers.. tvs are DANGEROUS
