Cannot get new mobo to boot up. I believe I have crossed wires some where JFP1 or JFP2. Help.

Hi,

First of all make sure the power connectors are properly seated on the motherboard. Secondly, remove all the connectors from the Front Panel. For example the power, reset, LED's etc, and then start to put them back. If you a plastic jumper right next to the motherboard battery then take that plastic jumper off the motherboard.
On the motherboard the pinouts on the front panel should be colour coded, and marked with letters like in this picture >>>>>

The connectors are also marked corresponding to where the connect on the motherboard, like in this picture >>>>>>

If the board is not colour coded then the motherboard will marked with the same letters, you may need a strong light and a magnifying glass to see the marks and they are usually at the bottom right of the motherboard.

Hope this helps.

It does not work. The motherboard has "died". I would like to purchase a different MB to replace it. What recommendations do you have? I have/had an MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum Socket AM2 ATX Motherboard

I recommend this board here, it is completely compatible with what you have now. It is a bit smaller than your board physically, but will definitely fit in the same case you currently have and will work with your components. Before you go to the link please make sure you click YES below my answer here to indicate it was helpful to you, it would mean a great deal to me if you could do so. Thank you so much, here is the link:

I have dropped my htc diamond (sprint) and the screen does not turn on.

I don't know if this is the same problem I had, but I think it is. I dropped my HTC Touch Diamond (standard version) yesterday and when I turned it on the screen didn't show anything.

I took it apart and found out the problem was caused by loose connectors between the main-board and the lcm- and navi-board.

The main board (green rectangle marks the problematic connectors):

Which connect to (green rectangle):

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Installing new k9n2 MB, cannot connect to existing std svga monitor as DVI o/p only and no adaptor available, used hdmi adaptor to connect to hd tv, - no signal detected what do I do next plse?

Try resetting everything. Turn-off and restart computer. I know someone who has HDMI DVD and media center and that is what they do. I'll flip if it works!
