First of all make sure the power connectors are properly seated on the motherboard. Secondly, remove all the connectors from the Front Panel. For example the power, reset, LED's etc, and then start to put them back. If you a plastic jumper right next to the motherboard battery then take that plastic jumper off the motherboard. On the motherboard the pinouts on the front panel should be
colour coded, and marked with letters like in this picture

The
connectors are also marked corresponding to where the connect on the
motherboard, like in this picture >>>>>>
If
the
board is not colour coded then the motherboard will marked with the
same letters, you may need a strong light and a magnifying glass to see
the marks and they are usually at the bottom right of the motherboard.
I recommend this board here, it is completely compatible with what you have now. It is a bit smaller than your board physically, but will definitely fit in the same case you currently have and will work with your components. I don't know if this is the same problem I had, but I think it is. I dropped my HTC Touch Diamond (standard version) yesterday and when I turned it on the screen didn't show anything.
I took it apart and found out the problem was caused by loose connectors between the main-board and the lcm- and navi-board.
The main board (green rectangle marks the problematic connectors):
Try resetting everything. Turn-off and restart computer. I know someone who has HDMI DVD and media center and that is what they do. I'll flip if it works!
