There should be brackets that would attach to the back of both to hold them together and in place, similar to a stackable washer and dryer

try to change battery

Could be an expansion valve or as well as the car might need a top-up of gas?

clean up your condenser it's gotta be dirty and check your thermostat put it on the coldest setting and check your freezer fan.

if t ain't running check to see if wired with defrost thermostat if it is suspect it defective.
