MY LG DVD WRITER READ CD AND DVDS BUT WHILE BURNING IT FAILS TO WRITE A DVD OR CD IT DISPLAYS PLEASE INSERT A EMPTY DISC TO WRITE TO.Also I HAVE THE LATEST FIRMWARE VERSION 1.06 INSTALLED

Hi,

The same situatin occured to me once, try installing NERO by uninstalling and reinstalling it...try to install the version that came alomg with your writer.... Dont try any purayed version..sometimes it may not work
