Question about Belkin (F5D7050) 802.11a/g/b Wireless Adapter

1 Answer

Belkin wireless adapter

Having connection problems. We uninstalled and reinstalled our Belkin wireless adapter. It worked for a while, but then "new hardware found" popped up and the wizzard installed it again. This works for a short while, but pops up over and over "new hardware found". Is there an adapter problem, or do we have a virus?

Re: belkin wireless adapter

Have you got the dongle on the stand thing it comes with ?

if you try it without the stand and see if it works

if it works the stand is goosed and if the dongle
is still intermitant i would return it as faulty

the usb if its goosed then it will keep poping up when the connection is made on a broken wire

hope this helps

My New belkin N+N router doesn't connect directly to computer. It keeps blinking amber color. I am totally dumb at computers please help me. Previous one Belkin N+ works well.

Did you install the software BEFORE you plugged in the router? If not, uninstall and reisntall the software before plugging in the router and see if that solves the problem.

Installed belkin Surf USB but it is unable to get Ip address from bt hub tried uninstalling and reinstalling no change

there is a button on the bt hub with the wireless sign on it, press it to allow the usb device to connect. You onlt need to to do this once its a security measure to stop anyone logging into your wireless network. Also it will only stay allowable for connections for a short period of time. But as i have said you only need to do it once to allow the new computer to connect.

What router brand/model do you have. Is it set up to broadcast it's SSID? Has encryption been enabled on the router?

Have you used Device Manager to make sure the new wireless card is operating properly.
