I just had a similar problem. I broke down and had a repair man come out to take a look. He pulled off the front lower cover, took off the inlet hose on the water pump, and found my two year old daughters sock stuck in the turbine of the water pump. The motor runs both the drum and the pump, therfore it would not spin, and would not let the water drain.
Everything was fine until tonight. I'm having the same problem again. I pulled everything off just like my repair man did, but no sock. I think I might wind up pulling off the whole pump to check the otlet side.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

I would check the motor control board located near the floor on the right side for burnt components. The motor is a 3 phase unit and if one of the phases are working the motor will growl and won't be able to supply the proper torque.
See www.neptunehelp.com for disassembly photos and for more info on the faulty door latch wax motor.

Hi, the drain pump impeller is damaged. you will need to replace the entire pump(drain) in this case.
You will hear this noise when the impeller become separated from the actual drive stud or, shaft.

hello you need to change drum rollers but if u remarked water dawn the washer and burn smell it could be the motor OR THE BELT because when the drum stop turning or turn slowly the motor turn fast on the belt when spin time it make this smell .

The "nf" code is a "no-fill" fault. This indicates that your washing is not getting water supplied to it, or the pressure isn't substantial enough to complete a fill. You need to, first, make sure the water supply is turned on. Second, if the water IS turned on, and you're still not getting anything to your washer, you may have a fill valve problem. The fill valve is what both your hoses connect to on the back of the machine. It can become clogged with sediment over time (especially, if you have hard water or well water). Turn the water supply off and remove both hoses from the back of the washer. Check both these hose connections for clogs in the filter screens. If they are clear, then more than likely the fill valve has gone bad.
