my hcl 780m monitor is displaying contrast,brightness etc automatically in the middle of the screen.even if i press the menu buttons it disappears for a sec and comes again and again.what should i do to solve this?

Try to wiggle the cable and see if it goes away. Seems like a loose connection somewhere. Try to factory reset the monitor from the menu.
