hello! when i wash a load of laundry (admittedly, I am new at using this machine and can't find the user's manual), the water does not drain out during the spin cycle. what am I doing wrong? I'm not a blond, I swear. Just need some help... :o)
Hi, You might have a plugged pump or even a bad pump. UNPLUG the washer. Remove the lower front panel and locate the pump. You might need a wet/dry vaccum and **** as much water out as possible. Remove the hoses from the pump. AGAIN, have the vaccum close to **** up some water. Once the water is gone, look inside the pump ports and see if there is anything blocking it. You might have to check voltage to the pump motor to make sure it is working. The motor should get 120V to the wire harness at the pump.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.
don't forget that inside the washer (must remove the tub) there is a drain hole which feeds the pump (hose connects from the tub to the pump). There may be a clog there as well.
Secondly, since you said the spin cycle, I will need to ask if your are sure the spin cycle is working?
If so then its the water pump pump.
If not then it could be a motor (if the motor agitates the tub then the motor is fine), the clutch mechanism or gearbox.
