Cannot remember my Xbox 360's passcode and reset answer!

I put a 4 button passcode with a reset question on my xbox 360 a few months ago and now i cannot remember! Is there any way or a back code that i can use to access my family settings again?

- thanks but where do u type this in???? do you type it in the console settings???

- i cannot find anything called device settings on the console settings...do you have to go to memory and click Y to go on device options and you type it there?

Try these steps first:

Go into settings .... console settings...then device settings or the blue screen then go...
left trigger
right trigger
x
y
left bumper
right bumper
left with left stick
up with left stick
right with left stick
x

If that doesn't work then call 1-800-4MYXBOX they will walk you through it.

Press the following key combination

  • Left Trigger, Right Trigger, X, Y, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, Up, Left Bumper, Left Bumper, X

This should give you a dialogue asking whether or not you want to reset your system to factory default settings.
