I cant program my direct tv remote to the durabrand BH2004D. The codes that the remote shows dont work with the tv set. Is there another solution besides trying to find a universal remote.

This is not true, GE shows DURABRAND .......... 0133 0189 0135
........................... 0153 0217 0157 1135

Unfortunately, there are no codes available for that particular brand of TV. Don't bother with a universal remote because you'll have the same problem. The manufacturer of that TV didn't communicate with any universal or cable remote manufacturer which is why it can only be controlled by the original remote or a replacement from the manufacturer of the TV.
