I have a E6400 that was freezing up with candy crush. Tried everything. Would clear cache/cookies and it would be fine if I didn't play games...but I did and it went ZAP and will not turn on,
Windows 7, 32 bit. intel core 2 Duo I have been searching for answers for months about games freezing up and crashes. I see this business lap top is not really that good for games, photos, ect. Now it is dead. I tried CPR when it was slowly dying, task mngr., cpu usage, defrag, clean up **** like book marks and did report crashes to chrome and windows. Only, ever said "Chrome not responding"-when it ZAPPED, it was hot but, never smelled anything and I was sniffing. Thought it was a power surge but, it is dead. Do you think it is worth taking it apart or to an expert. It shows on the bottom it is refurbished. Guess Dell made these back in 20009 so it's old. I do have a flash drive I put to it but, don't know even how to retrieve info or if my photos/info are there. This ****** net book can't take the load for sure, to even find out. Any comments that are hopeful would be much appreciated. Save your time posting "Time to by a new one" and tell me an affordable ($300 or less) that I can play candy crush and save photos on, maybe a video WHILE playing games, like I used to on the old DELL. Thanks!
I tried to destatic by removing battery, unplug, press & hold on button, nothing. Saw a video that said Dell E6400 is known for something popping out of place when it gets hot. Also, to make sure you are touching metal while inserting to avoid static charge. Have watched a video about taking it apart. Nothing to lose, right? Would really like to retrieve the pictures. Even if it works, what can anyone do to avoid this again?I tried to destatic by removing battery, unplug, press & hold on button, nothing. A lot of people have complained about freezes/crashes. Answers ranged from flash/shock problems, Chrome CPU, Windows incompatibility with graphics.A lot of people have complained about freezes/crashes. Answers ranged from flash/shock problems, Chrome CPU, Windows incompatibility with graphics.
Took it apart, it was dirty. Still no power or lights. There is a blue (ground?)wire under right hinge unattached with crimp end. Thought it went somewhere. Any ideas?Took it apart, it was dirty. Thank you so much! I had looked at docking stations but, they are pricey. I'll check out the caddies and the link. Thanks again.Thank you so much! I had looked at docking stations but, they are pricey. I'll check out the caddies and the link. Thanks again.

Re: I have a E6400 that was freezing up with candy crush....
Although I can't tell you how to get your laptop back up and running I can advice you of how to try to get the files from your old hard drive. This will involve small screwdrivers as you have to get your hard disk out of your Dell. There's a guide at http://youtu.be/CMyrVa3qihM. Once your hard disk is out you can fit it into an external hard disk caddy and attach it, via usb, to another computer. Caddies are available for around $20 from many electronics stores both on the street and online.
I would make sure you have the latest bios, and video drivers to start. Make sure you have all latest updates for windows. Make sure your hard drive is defragmented. Also make sure your computer is clean and that it is ventilating/cooling properly. If that fails I would just format and reinstall windows. Hope that helps, Lee

What I would try is press the small microphone and when it sat speak now I would say load in candy crush or reset candy crush or update candy crush and when you get a link hit it!
Check for updates for your device and the Jelly Saga app. Make sure you have ample free memory left (clear unwanted or unused app's as well as the cache) on your device and then do a restart.
This is well known issue with lot of complaints.
You can try these:
- Kill the Candy Crush app from the "Settings/App" menu
- Clear the Candy Crush app cache
- Turn OFF all network connections (WiFi and mobile network)
- Restart Candy Crush
Unfortunately, Candy Crush is no longer supported on the iPad 1. This link will take you to a supported devices listing. It is calling for the iPad 2 or newer. Candy Crush Saga Faq Mobile en King
Try to load it in another browser. Try Internet Explorer first, as it is already installed with Windows. Chrome if that doesn't work either.
You could also pause any antivirus or firewalls that you have running, as they could cause a flash game to freeze while downloading. It's not likely though.
If the game is still bugged, then chances are the issue is on the server's end. I've seen plenty of Facebook games fail to receive continued support and break down, becoming unplayable.
If this is the case, you could always chuck an email to the developers and ask them what's going on. Otherwise, you might just have to hang out and wait for the next update.
- Remove extension of browser. - Clear history & cache. - Remove Unwanted Toolbars. - Remove Junk Entries from Windows Registry
If you found any problem while performing these tips, then simply I would suggest you to run complete Reginout scan. After some couple of clicks your problem will be solved.
If you're having problems loading the Yahoo Mail web client, I suggest clearing your browser's cookies and cache. That will reset the logins and sessions in your browser, as well as clearing some temporarily stored files that are cached to speed up browsing. By doing that, you're going to be logged out of any websites, but it will often fix strange glitches with websites.
To clear your cookies and cache in Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, hold Ctrl and Shift and press Delete while still holding them. Choose the time range of "everything" or "all time" and only check the Cookies and Cache boxes to delete. If you're using Internet Explorer, the process is different for the version you are using. You can find details for all versions of Internet Explorer at this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278835.
Once your cookies and cache are cleared, try going to Yahoo Mail again and log in. It should now work.
The cause of your problem is simple: your "cache"
memory & "temporary internet files" are nearly full.
This is especially true if you've been watching lots
of videos or playing a lot of games/music.
If you are experiencing either: A) slugglish loading
and buffering, B) "choppy" videos which frequently
start/stop/start/stop, C) the YouTube dotted circle
looking like it might spin for ever, or D) videos that
will sometimes come to a sudden "stop" or freeze,
that is often a sign that your cache/memory is full
and cannot take anymore.
Exit out of YouTube (but not your browser) and do
one of the steps below. Afterwards, shutdown and
reboot. Not only will this "free up" your computer's
memory, everything will be "fresh", and load faster:
Internet Explorer 6:
→ Tools → Internet Options
→ Delete Cookies → OK
→ Delete Files → OK
→ Clear History → Yes
→ OK
Internet Explorer 7:
→ Tools → Internet Options → Delete...
→ Delete files → Yes
→ Delete cookies → OK
→ Delete history → OK
→ Close (browsing history window)
→ OK
Internet Explorer 8:
→ Tools → Delete Browsing History
[. ] Preserve Favorites (leave blank)
[x] Temporary Internet files
[x] Cookies
[x] History
→ Delete
Mozilla Firefox 3:
→ Tools → Clear Private Data
[x] Browsing History
[x] Download History
[x] Saved Form and Search History
[x] Cache
[x] Cookies
→ Clear Private Data Now Google Chrome:
→ Tools (wrench) → Clear browsing data...
[x] Clear browsing history
[x] Clear download history
[x] Empty the cache
[x] Delete cookies
Clear data from this period: → Everything
→ Clear Browsing Data
