Question about Plumbing
My irrigation system will not work. The well has a new pump and supplies adequate pressure to the house unless an irrigation line is turned on. Each head only trickles a little and the pressure in my house drops to nothing. I don't suspect a leak because the well does not run unless a sprinkler line is running. The well pressure stays up in the 50 PSI range during this time but will not activate any of the heads. I cannot even get the sprinkler system to work manually. I do have one line that works and when the sprinklers are running, the pressure in the house is still good. It only dies down when a line is turned on but not putting out any water. Could this be a faulty gate valve that maybe blocking adequate flow of water to the sprinklers a creating some type of back pressure that stops the flow of water to the house? If anyone has seen this type of problem and has an idea I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks.
How big is your pump? How much HP rating? It could be a case of blocked water line. Just check your pipe lines and the gate valve for blockage. Just your e-mail
