MP3 player-shows no files downloaded

'base' digital MP3 video player. Have downloaded songs, when i plug in to hard drive to check, shows multiple songs in file. When we remove from hard drive and open Music file, shows no files. Reads; 00:00:00 'No File". The format of the music files are mainly MP3 files. When i open the removable drive to check what's on there, it says there are 66files, 279mb. the kind of folder they are saved on is MICIN.DIR
Please tell me where I'm going wrong, many thanks! SANDIE

The players starts playing and then says file error

If this is a USB MP3 player and you have unwanted songs on it, you might try plugging it into your computer and formatting it like a portable hard drive. This should reset everything back to a factory default and then the computer and the MP3 player should get along better. Good Luck

I dont know how to download music from the computer to the mp3 i just need to understand how to do it and where to go so i can.. thank you

First you need to plug it in to the USB port, if you are running anything newer than windows 98 you won't need a driver. Double click on my computer and it shows up as a removable disc(usually drive letter f:), double click this drive to open it as folder. This folder will show you all directory's and files on your player, here you can delete any songs on your player by finding the file and deleteing it. From here you can also put your music onto the player by copying and pasting your music files from your hard drive. If you are not sure where your music is located you can run a search by clicking START>SEARCH>FOR FILES OR FOLDERS (if you are running XP click pictures music or video, check music then click search, each file will have it's location in small print below it's name, or you can right click each song and hit copy, then go back to f: drive and right click and hit paste, you can copy more than one). Hope this helps. RICHARDM69
