SOURCE: my skeeter vac will not stay lit but gets lots of gas

If it lights, use a c-clamp or something to keep the fuel button pressed in until it will stay lit without the button pressed. This took me 3 hours before it would finally keep running normally. If that doesn't work, the jet and engine chamber might need cleaning. This takes some additional work and you may need to make a new fiberglass gasket since the original one falls apart after a few seasons.

What degree should the 65 xp falcon 200 super pursuit motor ignition be set at

the degrees advance will be 10 degrees on the crank pulley. Loosen the distributor clamp so that you can turn the distributor . Set the points to the point gap. Place the pulley timing on 10 degrees . Turn the distributor in the direction of rotation until the points are closed . Turn on the ignition and advance ( turn against direction of rotation) the distributor until you hear a click. If you have the coil lead out of the coil when you hear the click you will get a spark from the HT lead. Lock up the distributor clamp at this point and you will be spot on timing. On most engines the recommended advance setting can vary a little so you may be able to advance it just a bit to make it run better . Use a light to check for how far advanced you are. A max of 12 degrees will be allowable.

I have an electronic ignition furnace that won't spark. The blower turns on after about 30 seconds from hearing the ignition clicking but no spark. I noticed when I completed the lighting proced

On that unit the induced draft motor must close the pressure switch, and all safeties are proven closed, then that signal is powered to the ignition control board. Then the board sends a spark. Lots of times all that happens and the electrode that makes the spark needs cleaning, or the ground for that electrode needs to be cleaned/tightened. Takes some process of elimination for that one.

My 2006 buick lacrosse wont start radio and lights work but its not saying nothing when i try to crank it

Hello! Do you hear a click when the key is turned?...If no click is heard either the ignition key, the Crank relay, the starter, or the battery are suspect...Having lights and radio does not mean the battery is capable of running a starter motor......Put a meter on the battery...should read 12.5 volts...Turn key...Does voltage drop to 8 or 9 volts? Bad battery...If all is well with battery and connections to it...Check the starter fuse # 33 in the under hood fuse/relay box...If the fuse is good that click you should hear is from the Crank Relay in that box...If all of the above is OK connect your meter to the Purple wire that is connected to the starter motor...When the key is turned 12 volts must be on that wire...If there is the starter motor is defective...So, #1...Do you hear a click when key is turned...That would point at a bad starter or weak battery...#2...If you do not hear a click bad fuse #33, bad Crank Relay, bad ignition switch...#3...If fuse is good Bad Crank Relay or Ignition switch; Crank Relay is a low cost item ($10)...Replace Relay...Stop there and send a comment as to results...Guru...saailer

Kenmore mod# 110.73012102, sounds like igniter is working ,drum turns, air blows ,but no heat

pop off the bottom panel, there's two clips that are on top of the bottom panel, stick a screw driver or putty knife in and pop the clips and pull out the panel to remove, start the dryer,if the flame ignites and then after a few minutes it doesn't ignite any more you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve, part number 279834 and they're around 25 dollars,if the flame ignites but goes out to soon most likely you have a blockage somewhere from lint buildup, pull off the vent line from the back of dryer and see if it runs any better, also unplug the dryer, remove the lint filter, remove the bottom panel and then remove the metal duct that the filter slides into and clean it out,vac and blow out all lint with a shop vac on the motor and inside the cabinet,if your vent line is a long run, remove it from the back of dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower, first check outside to make sure there isn't a cage or anything blocking the air flow before you blow out the line,if there is remove it and don't put it back.let me know how you make out and good luck.

Ignition switch will not activate starter motor consistently. Sometimes no, sometimes with a second click of key. Cleaned ignition switch contacts and wire harness connector contacts. Could a relay be the...

Bad ignition switch and starter symptoms are similar. The engine will turn sometimes and will not turn some other times. If it is the switch you will not even here a clicking sound. If the starter is bad you might hear a clicking. If the distributor is bad than the engine will turn every time but it will not start running or will start but not run properly (misfire).

After a few heating cycles the burner does not ignite

The problem you are describing is usually associated with a bad gas valve coil. The dryer runs normally until it gets hot, then starts making a strange clicking noise. After it cools down, the dryer runs normally again. The gas valve coils (there are two of them) usually run about $20 a piece. I recommend replacing both of them at the same time just to be sure. I hope this helps.
