You say that it doesn't leak during showers. The next step is to plug the drain 100% so no water will drain thru the drain assembly. Fill the unit up to just below the overflow drain and leave overnight to see if it could be leaking from the outside of the drain plug assembly or leaking from the jets/drain from the whirlpool feature. If was just recently installed was it professionally installed. Should be covered by warranty.Try this then if its not determined what the cause we will go to the next level of investigating what it could be.in it peak all around to see where the water is comming from. Use a flashlite so your not kneeling in mosture with a electrical light in your hand!!! Good Luck!

Kohler Whirlpool jets are weak.

Kohler has good support. You can view the diagrams for that unit with the link I am posting. There are no filters listed in the diagram that might need to be cleaned. There is a chance that the unit has developed a clog from hair etc in the pump impellor. The flange may have come loose and is allowing air in the suction side of the pump too. Kohler has online chat and support numbers you can call too. K-1357-RA ' Devonshire 5-Foot Whirlpool with Apron and Right Drain ' KOHLER

K-1357 kohler whirlpool tub there is leaking only when the tub is filled and drained. when taking showers there are no leaks 3yrs old

Overflow? Seal around drain may be good enough for shower, but leaks with a little more pressure from the filled tub. Filled tub may flex the tub and drain components. What about the overflow. I bet some water is going over, but it isn't used for showers. Double check. Paper towels tied in stratigic locations always help me find a leak. Leak makes the towel soak up water nearby. It's most wet at the point of leak.

Water leak thru valve when turn to shower

a lot of shower diverters do this..you may need a bigger seal on the diverter..if you can remove the spout assembly from the tub(with the diverter valve in it) and take it all to the hardware store.. see if they have a different seal/diverter that has a snugger fit but still falls to drain the shower head line out..that will slow that leakage..the spout is on a pipe and unscrews counter clockwise(normally)unless its a single valve unit..with the wide ring around the back..then that calls for a plumber..

Kohler rite temp with diverter. When the tub is turned on water leaks out the shower head. Changed the diverter didn't fix problem.

You could have a restriction in the tub spout or just too much pressure. Diverter only restricts flow to tub spout so any restrictions to the tub spout will cause water to go up to shower head.

I can see outside of tub get wet and it leaks by the drain..its brand new..only does it when its drained after being filled to a high level..is it cracked or something? can't see any but dont know what...

If it only leaks when filled to a high level, the rubber washer behing the overflow plate is misaligned or missing. this plate is on the tub wall above the drain, and hld in in by 1 or 2 screws.

My whirlpool ultimate care 2 washer was leaking underneath while running, I removed the back panel and dropped the drain hose to the floor and extended it out the door to the yard and while filling the tub...

The drain hose must be at least level with the top of the actual tub in the washer. The water pump is only bad if it is leaking. If it is leaking from the front you either have a cracked outer tub, but it sounds like your water pump, easy to change out just get the model # and order it through an appliance parts distributor. The cost is about 40 to 50 bucks. good luck!

Bath tub leaks

Well if its not from drain then it could be from one of the supply valve (hot/cold) it is also possible that its leaking from the overflow drain. this gets overlooked sometimes because of its location. One thinks that water has to be filled that high but one might be surprised how much water gets there when taking a shower or splashing in the tub. There should be an access panel to check the valves and overflow gasket. If not remove the handles and echuns to see if you can see anything.

My 2000 kohler tub drain leaks. The drain itself

Need clarification....the drain leaks to the ceiling below, or it doesn't hold water? If it doesn't hold water, no need to replace the ring. Those can be adjusted. Simply pull up on on the lever and screw it in clockwise. This will lower the stop and hold the water. If it actually leaks below, unscrew said stopper, grab a pair of needle nose pliers and place them in the drain (to grab the strainer) and use another pair to loosen. Once off, clean around drain and clean strainer, apply plumbers putty to the strainer, apply pipe "dope" (thread sealant) to the threads and tighten back in. Good luck!

Bathtub leakes when the drain plug is activated, no leak when not

This usually is caused by a detiorated O ring that compresses to make a watertight seal at the transistion points from them drain shoe and overflow tube to the trap adapter. However it may be the trap adapter as well. Either way the best solution is to access the tub waste from the wall behind the tub drain and replace the necessary parts. Your issue is showing up because the gallons per minute/hour rate that the tub drains is far greater than the tub valve is allowed to fill the tub. This causes a greater volume of water to fill the tub waste and as such the backpessure is greater as the entire volume of water in the trap weir must be evacuated as opposed to when the tub is not plugged and the valve is ran requiring the trap weir to evacuate gradually. Some tub wates are made of metal and may have developed holes in them but they generally form along the pathway the water uses to drain. Unfortunately the only real solution is gain access to the tub wate and replace the defective part. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
