SOURCE: reset date/time stamp

Here is the only information I could find for you. This is a link to the extended user manual. You want to look in two different places. The 1st place to look is "setting up your camera". From there there is a heading for setting up the date and time and language. The 2nd place would be "Doing more with your camera"

Hope this helps.

I have a sf-560r. When printing or copying or receiving fax, the machine prints a small line near the bottom of the paper with some numbers. The numbers change each time I print or copy or receiving fax,...

Do the series of numbers look like a date/time and page number stamp? If so, you need to turn off the Stamp RCV Name feature. This is part of the Advanced Fax features. To access this, press Menu until you see Advanced Fax on the top line of the LCD screen. Press Enter then use the left/right arrows until you see Stamp RCV Name. Press Enter again and use the left/right arrows to select Off. Press Enter to save the setting. Then press Stop/Clear to exit the menu system.

Samsung has the User Manual for the SF-560 here: http://www.samsung.com/levant/support/model/SF-560/XEU . The direct link to the manual in English is currently http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200906/20090617100814640/Guide_English.pdf . See pages 4.4 and 4.5 for the Advanced Fax menu information. These are pages 65 and 66 of the PDF.

I hope this helps. If the digits aren't the date/time/page number, I'm not sure what the footer text is.

I have a Canon SX30. I happened to turn on the Date/Time and now apparently ALL the photos have this imbedded in them. The date and time appear in the photo when I view them on my computer. I had...

The date time stamp is permanent. Once its set and you take a picture it will stay on it even if you turn the time stamp off in the camera (this will prevent it from occurring to future pictures).

To remove it from the pictures you already have you can either crop the image so that the stamp no longer appears in the frame you want, or use a clone or blur tool in an image editing program to erase the stamp.

To turn it off in your model, press menu, use the side to side arrows to select the camera tab, then use the up or down arrows to select date stamp.

Use the left or right arrows to chose off instead of date or date and time.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Manual too difficult

It seems to me, after reading the Operating Instructions, that it's not possible to stamp the photos automatically while taking them (EXCEPT for when stamping TRAVEL DATES - see below).
What you can do is enter the Play mode, the stamp the photos manually- 1 to 50 photos at a time.
To do this, kindly look on pages 66-67 for detailed instructions (with illustrating images).

Be sure to set the correct time and date prior to stamping the photos. Look on page 16 for further instructions.

If you're taking pictures during traveling, you can set TRAVEL DATE, which will also have a reference to the day number of your travel (page 48).

Hope you'll find my information useful...
Good luck,
Pelu.

Time/date stamp on pictures when printing

I had the same problem. I wanted to set my Olympus C5000 Zoom to automatically date stamp photos. After going through the entire manual, I had to call Olympus directly. They told me that none of their cameras have an internal date stamp feature. They said that the date stamp lowers the quality of the picture, so they choose not to have the feature available. However, you can manually add the date and time stamp through the software that comes with the camera, just before you print the pictures. Hope that helps...
