Go to the XMB, then to settings, system settings, and there should be a tab for system information, you should find your IP address in there somewhere!
Hope this helps!

Here is a step by step guide for you!

    1. Power up the PlayStation 3 without any disc in the drive.
    2. Once the PlayStation 3 operating system has loaded, select Settings.

I have wireless internet how do I get a ip address connect my ps3

The IP address is provided by the wireless router when you perform the connection process. You will need to locate your wireless network on the PS3, select it, and when prompted for the security key/code, enter it to gain a connection. Once the connection is established, the PS3 will have an IP address.

My PS3 can't find the IP address for my wireless router and I don't know how to enter it

possible cause is that ps3 uses an ip address leased from the wi fi router via its DHCP Server in Router. If PS3 was off for a while another computer on Wi FI network may have been assigned the IP address that the PS3 thinks it has.
Try page 29 of
http://au.playstation.com/media/2Pv7AFEC/CECH-2102B_2103B-3.20_UKANZ[EN]_vf1.pdf
on page 31 change the ip address setting to manual
set ip to 192.168.0.254 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Now exit setup
Then go back into Setup
Change IP address setting to Auto
Why

This will renew the ip address from the DHCP server to the ps3 hopefully allocating you a fresh IP address lease .

CANT CONNECT TO PLAYSTATION NETWORK. SIGNS ME OUT WITH ERROR 8002AD3D. PLEASE HELP

try setting up the ps3 using static ip address.
the subnet mask is usually 255.255.255.0 and check your DNS server in your router to input it in your ps3 cause it can vary.

Next, you can open the ports through your router 80TCP, 443TCP, 5223TCP, 3478UDP, 3479UDP, and 3658UDP all assigned to your ps3 static id address.

You can open the ports or use DMZ function(enable), which is alot easier because all you need to input is the static ip address that was assigned to your ps3.

However, i set them both up and i'm too lazy to go back to check whether it needs both or one of them, but i'm sure one of them will suffice.

Note: If you have DHCP enable, you have to check where the ip address starts and ends. You want to assign your ps3 static ip address within that range. Remember, assign a static ip address that is different from your default router ip address cause it can lead to alot of viruses.

When i pull up internet explorer page, and type in www.yahoo.com I get error 80710723 after trying to connect for about 2 min. What do I need to do?

Go into "Local Area Connections - Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) " and then change my settings from "Obtain an IP address automatically" to "Use the following IP Address". I then added the information needed.
and the same with the DNS address.
