If leaking from the bottom it could be a number of things and you would have to remove the back panel to start. Then do the rinse and spin and using a flashlight try to locate the leak. Have towels handy. For us, in our 5 yr old LG - the bellow (the black large tube connected to underneath the tub) had holes in it. A $10.00 part online.

In the lower front of the machine, open door, pull out hose. Let it drain into a bucket. Retry wash after that.
The other thing to check, is to make sure you used HE detergent and not regular by chance... That will jam up the system and clog the draining mechanism.
Good Luck!

Why won't my LG model WM2688HNM front load washer not drain? It spins and makes noise

sounds like a bad or clogged water pump but may also have to look the door switch which on some models wont allow it to spin or agitate? a bad motor coupler will not allow spinning or have bad weak spin cycle sorry cant be more specific by the way front loads tend to be a pain in the___ to work on good luck

TE code wm2688hnm

proceed with common sense and logically, fix it use the Vom or DVOM .God bless you

For this error code you need to check both the water heater or element and thermistor, basically the washing machine is reporting a fault on the heating circuit with this fault code but it is not capable of identifying exactly where the fault actually lies.
On non-display panel models this fault code is denoted by the lights for 95, 60, 40 and cold being lit or flashing.

  • Check water heating element
  • Check heater for contunuity,
  • Check steam heater for continuity usually
  • Check thermistor or temperature sensor
  • Check the thermistor resistance,
  • Check wiring to water heating element
  • Check connections to water heating element and temperature sensor

Grinding noise from the pump of my wm2688hnm, cleaned plastic filter (it did have some minor debris)...ran another rinse/spin cycle, runs a couple of minutes and then starts to make a grinding noise and...

Take top off, take control panel off, take front off. Now you can get to pump. Check videos from, or for how to. Not that hard. Just many steps.

Have a LG Tromm wm2688hnm and it washes fine and the drum is empty of water after a cycle. When I come back to wash another load a day or two later there is water that has pooled in the drum. I have had...

Sounds like you have a minor blockage in your filter. There should be a access panel to the filter. If you have your manual it should be located in there as to where exactly the access point is. The timing seems to be just about right for a blockage. The only other thing that is possible is that a seal has busted and is letting water drip down from the water hoses in the back. If you look at the filter and there isn't a blockage then try and shut of the water from the back when you are done doing a load. When you come back and no water you now know your starting to issolate the issue. Please let me know what you find. Hope it helps out.

Display says error

I have give the same solution in other post, here it is :
usually problem with semi auto washing machine is on the sensors , exactly in the water level sensor, please check the hose that connected to water level sensor, make sure no dirt blocking or clogging the hose. also you can clean the tube under the pulsator, usually there is many dirt blocking the hose line.
the problem is in the hose leading to the water level sensor, if there is no dirt and looks normal, water level sensor must be replaced

Smelly Clothes...yuck!

Well, hope you avoid a lawsuit.

Putting the machine in perspecive....It uses water, soap, movement, and drains.

So, you start at the source water, and GUARANTEE that it is clean and pure (same as all other sources in your home) No cheating, take it off and run water into a 5 gal bucket, EACH hose.

Then, witness the drain volume, Pull the hose and observe while draining. the most likely issue is water is restricted from exiting the machine by some foreign material...

Typically, the machine would not loose efficiency without something being broken....

LG Tromm - WM2688HNM - Detergent dispenser full of water & some detergent after wash.

Even though you want your washer completely leveled, you need it to be leveled but slightly tilting to the back.
We were having this issue after we releveled our washer because of vibrations during the spin cycle. Once we made a slight adjustment, the problem was solved.
