MY lexmark 5400 series all in one suddenly stopped comunicating

My server that was running the printer read a communication error and then you go through all the routines, I changed the cable. Nada
Checked fire wall and all my live one care.
Then used a laptop, installed all new software and have the same error upon boot up.
The printer works fine if you need a copy.
I think it is crapped out.
