Theory: The light/electronics in the mirror shorted, causing the wires to smoke and catch fire. The fuse for the light blew, so the radio and windows on that fuse don't work.
Suggestion, remove the wires going to the mirror and replace the fuse.
The only way to turn off the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) or "check engine Light", is to either use a scanner to reset the MIL, or you can dis-connect the battery for three minutes, but if you do dis-connect the battery you will have to re-set the radio and anything else that has a KAM (Keep Alive Memory).
sometimes the selenoid when going out will do that, work right away then not catch for several trys, you might take it in to be tested or just replace it most are not very expensive unless it is directly on the starter then you have to replace starter to get new selenoid
Don't suppose you have a custom stereo with big woofers by chance? Does blink when windows are down? Blink to the beat of bass? I'm suspecting Interior pressure builds up when AC fan on, and windows closed. You can try adjusting your door catches on door posts in slightly to keep doors closed more tightly, if I'm on right track.
Sounds like the bearing and clutch went out. Its best to replace the compressor, unless you got the tools and knowhow to chg. the clutch and bearing. If you just chg. out the compressor, the refregerent has to be drained out first, and then unbolt lines on back of compressor, and electrical wires, and belt, and bolts then remove. Put new compressor on in reverse order. But system should be vacumed be for its recharged with refregerent.
