Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
How old is the unit?
I would venture to say that your drain pump is failing. Some will make a more louder than usual noise near the end of life. Have you checked the pump strainer yet? If it's clear, go ahead and replace the pump. It's a very easy DIY fix.
btw: remove the lower access panel to the washer. The strainer is located in the pump and will twist out w/a few turns. put something down on the floor (pan, towel, ect) before you remove the strainer for it will empty out whatever is left in the lower tub.
