SOURCE: brother laser printer wont print
If there printer is not able to print on card stock then check the recommend
card stock paper thickness, if the printer works with normal paper but not card stock then there is problem in the card stock and by using this paper may also damage the rollers on the printer and make the printer useless ...

Had a similar problem with the MFC-885cw. Turns out that , if you have a photo paper tray installed which sits just above the main tray, you need to puill it all the way back towards you otherwise it blocks the paper feed. Not the best design feature I've ever seen.

First off, NEVER EVER turn a componant upside down and shake it. Second, open the printer up and search for any additional paper. A lot of time a paper jam isn't just one sheet, especially if you have a faster printer. I would also try using some rubber rejuvinator on the printer so that it picks the paper up better so it goes through the printing cycle better.

sounds like there is a piece of paper somewhere that you can't see it and in there snug. you may want to check again & use a flashlight if you have one available, this will help . i know it's hard to see up in there ..
