My fone wont let me touch the screen but will let me answer calls

yesterday all of a sudden my lg view wouldnt let me touch the screen at all and still wont!i tried turning it on and off and taking the chip thing out and the battery out..im tring to let the battery die and see wat happens..but idk wat to do now!!help mee please..i need to text:)

if the screen is black press one of the buttons to light up the screen ... and if you have a stilus use it
