a15-s1292 wont power on. screen is blank. left hand led is flashing when battery or power supply is installed. no other indiations visual or aural.

Make sure only the ac adapter is hooked up and see if you get video that way.
If not then go ahead and turn off the laptop. Unseat and reseat each memory stick into each slot one at a time in each slot one at a time and try to power it on with each memory stick reinsertion.
This will let you know if either of the memory sticks are bad or if either of the memory slots are bad.
If that doesn't work then try taking out the hard drive and see if that works. Last chance then would be the dvd drive.
If you still don't get any video at this point then the problem is a bad motherboard more then likely cause that means its not seeing any of the memory or the CPU.
