Oreck vacuum is blowing out air and not sucking up dust. Why is it doing that???

Most likely the air passage from the motor to the bag is clogged.

Take it outside, remove the bag, and turn it on. That may blow the clog out. If not, open it from the bottom, and try to snag the clog out.

My Vacuum is actually shooting out debris rather then pick it up. I don't what is wrong but the vacuum is making a really loud wining sound from the motor. Would it be the motor? Will I have to buy yet...

This happened to my vacuum also. I used it this way for quite a while, starting at one end of the room and "blowing" the dirt behind me as I went and then used a broom and dustpan when I got to the tile floor.

The problem was fixed the next time I changed the bag. Apparently, my husband had put the bag in backwards! hahaha Easy fix! :D So, check to make sure the bag is installed correctly!

My Kirby seems to be putting more dirt on the floor than what it is picking up? The brush roller is turning but it leaves dust streaks . It also shoots particles out the side instead of vacuuming it up....

Hi there. It sounds like you belt may be stretched. Simple turn vac upside down, start it up and carefully press your hand on the brush. If the belt is stretched the rollewr will stop turning. If this does not help, you probably have a clog in the power head area. Hope this helps, Chris

Kirby g2000 not picking up dirt

It is most likely the belt. You cannot reverse the suction. First check to see if the bag is expanding when running. If the bag is blowing up then it is the belt if not it is clogged just take the bag off from the vacuum and remove the head you will see the obstruction.

Sounds like the motor finally siezed on you. Motor is trying to turn but won't thus the hum. Do not allow the vacuum to stay on like this as it may cause a fire. Requires a motor replacement.

Blows dust and dirt out of brush area

Did you make sure to cut all the strings, hair, etc. out of the brush attachment on the bottom? Look in the corners too to make sure none has gotten stuck on the sides that needs to be cut out.
