Sony LCD Projection tv - picture and sound goes out periodically

The Lamp is designed to be replaced by the customer. The Lamp Door is on the right side of the set as you look at it from the front. You Must first remove the cover, then turn the handle of the Lamp Door counter clock wise. Pull the Door out. The Lamp is now exposed. Lift up on the finger loop of the Lamp and pull.
Replace in reverse proceedure. The Lamp can be ordered by calling Sony at
1800-222-SONY.
