Model number vx401 will be playing the radio just fine and switches to digital tuner.

At audiovox.com has some upgrade files for the jensen vm9312 that is supposed to fix this problem. First you have to find the vm9312 and then click on software updates. Audiovox makes Jensen products i believe.

Switch speaker wires if sound switches then amp probably has a final amp ic.output problem. Try balance control and tape dubbing or loudness buttons to see if any are dirty.
May have to get repairs at a shop if the amp is worth saving.

All of us that own this pint-size tv will experience the same problem come Feb. 2009. The only solution is to purchase a digital tuner adapter and "adapt".

I have the same TV and was unable to get the digital channels until today. I think you need to connect your antenna on the back of the TV to the ATSC jack. If you have had it connected to the VHF/UHF jack, it won't detect the digital signals. Once you have the antenna connected to the ATSC jack just Auto Program your TV and you'll find all the digital channels in your area. Good luck!
