The TV reset may help you. If the timer was set by accident many of these TV's that have the sleep timer have this problem. Try the factory reset initialization.
Your lamp timer may be maxed out which means you should change the lamp and reset the lamp timer. When the timer max's out it won't turn on till it is reset.
SYSTEM RESET If the TV will not respond to either the remote control or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off, press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may turn on the TV again. press "menu" button, scroll down to "special features" and press "ok" button, scroll down to "reset lamp timer" and press "ok" button, you will notice the "no" change to "yes" and press "ok" button, you will notice "yes" change to "no", this will reset the lamp timer
When the timer light stoped flashing the remote control would not turn on the TV. The next time the light quit flashing I held the power button in on the TV for about 5 seconds and it came on and has had no problems since then with the remote or the local TV power button.
