Light bulb not working
I have the same problem. Bulb blew out, I replaced it and it's still not working. The switch on the door is fine too.

- I tried your suggestion (and actually thought of that before), but it's in so tightly now that I'm afraid any further tightening will cause the bulb to break in my hand/rag.Jul 04, 2009
- It's an appliance bulb - same brand as what was in there and everything. However, it just occurred to me that I have a "Maintenance Plan" on the fridge through my local gas & electric provider, so I'll call them and have them deal with it. I'll post back if it's isn't something stupid! :-) Thanks for your help. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to fire away. I won't be able to get anyone out here before the end of next week anyway.Jul 04, 2009

Hi, I know this sound silly but, I go on a lot of service calls for the light bulb. Most of the time, all I have to do is give the bulb a half turn mre. They can feel tightened but, it might take a little more turn. I use a rag and grab the bulb with my fingers and the palm of my hand and twist.You might need to losen the bulb and try tightening it again.

- Wow...... Is this an appliance bulb or regular household bulb? I know it shouldn,t matter. If you have a voltage meter, you can see if the bulb receptical has 120V to it. Put one lead on the center tab inside the recept, and one lead on the threaded part.Jul 04, 2009
