Check the drain pump itself. But at the same time if your clothes are still sudsy it sounds like it is not going through all the cycles. Almost like it is skipping a cycle

SOURCE: how do you drain the drain pump in lg front load

There is a small panel on the bottom left front of the washer with a tab on the top middle holding it onto the front of the washer. depress this tab with a small flathead screwdriver and the panel will open downward. You will now see a small round black piece on the left with a flat screw head on it, about an inch in diameter. unscrew this about a quarter of a turn and it will come out with a small hose attached. This is connected to the drain pump. Have a shop vac ready, pull the black plug out of the hose and this will drain the pump. The larger round piece on the right, about 3 inches in diameter is your drain pump. After draining all the water unscrew it with your hand. When you get this out it will have a screen attached which needs to be cleaned at least once a year.

SOURCE: Water doesn't drain

you could have a bad drain pump.
have you checked the hoses that come from the bottom of the tub to the drain pump for anything that might be stuck in there, also check the hose that comes off the drain pump to the wall and look for an obstruction.

Sam sung front load washer door locked n power out. clothes still in the washer n need to open the door wf42h5000aw/a2

Can you see any water inside? Every front load washing machine keeps the door locked when it detects water in the unit. If there is still some water not draining out then the door will not unlock. If so then drain the water out of the machine via the drain hose. Allow approximately one hour for the water to cool before performing this procedure. Also check the filter and pump for a clog or obstruction.

If you can't see any water inside then it may be caused by a mechanical fault with the door mechanism, faulty door interlock. This is not a fault that you can repair yourself and will require a repair engineer.

My front load washer do not spin

Take the power plug off the wall. Be prepared for a lot of water before attempting the following. It doesn't spin because the unit is not draining water. It will not spin with water in it - must drain first. Check drain hose for kink, check exit pipe for blockage. Remove the front access panel, bottom front; if you find a pipe there with a cap -this is for draining water. Could be your "coin trap assembly" is blocked, therefore not allowing all the water to pump out. Remove the clamp that connects the trap assembly to the pump and clean it out. If helped, pl say so.

Water goes down into washer, but does not seem to

Well if this is a front loading GE and it has a pump similar to the Frigidaire Models (who knows who makes what for whom) there is a check valve that closes on the pump where the hose connects to the drain hose if this has fallen apart or off the pump will allow the water to drain into the hose rather than staying in the wash tub without knowing the model number it is difficult to be certain of this. If yours has the small access panel on the front with two screws at the bottom most likely the pump check flap (small piece of rubber on the pump outlet) is probably shot. Only other thing is to make sure the drain hose has not changed position and causing siphoning of the wash tub.

We have a GE front load washer WCVH6800. Recently we loaded some throw rugs into the washer. These rugs released a large amount of material. We cleaned the pump filter 3 times and it now seems clean. ...

The water inside the tub will drain out when the pump filter is removed from the pump housing and flood the base of the washer. If not, the tub drain hose is clogged preventing the water to drain into the pump housing then out.

The door is locked because the foam switch in the pressure switch is open due to the presence of water after the unsuccessful drain cycle.

Disconnect the washer from the power outlet. Remove the three screws holding the lower front access panel to the cabinet and pull the panel down to access the pump housing.

Squeeze the clamp that hold the tub drain hose to the pump housing and slide it back. Prepare a pan to catch the water to prevent flooding. The tub drain hose maybe difficult to remove and you may need to insert something under it to break the seal and pull it off.

Remove the tub drain hose from the tub by squeezing the securing clamp and pulling it off the tub drain outlet. Clear the hose and the tub drain outlet from any debris.

Reinstall the tub drain hose and manually unlock the door before reinstalling the access panel. Reach and pull the release ring behind and up the right side of the front panel, then open the door.

Sometimes there is water that fills in my washer after I use it. It does not happen right away but by the next day. I don't know the model but I do know this is an old washer....gold....I have had it for...

Q - My washer seems to keep filling  with water, the water keeps coming in the washer and going out the drain without the washermotor running.
A - This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

Something must have gotten into the drain pump. You drop the fromt panel on most of theses and open the pump sump, get the coin or whatever out of it.

GE WJSR2050T2WW Washer fills up,Spins but won't drain out?

The most common reason for no pump out is a blockage in the pump. Best to drain as much water as possible. (even laying the drain hose down to allow as much of the water to drain out as possible) Un-plug washer. Next, open the front of the washer by using a putty knife to push in and release the clips about two inches in from each side at the seam where the front panel meets the washer top. Pull the front panel forward and lift it off the bottom pegs. Remove spring clamps from inlet and outlet of pump with a plier. Remove two pump mounting screws to allow pump removal after unplugging electrical leads. Remove obstruction from pump. Most pump bodies can be separated if necessary. Reassemble, plug back in and test.

Cloths are still very heavy and wet

Sounds like a pump problem or a kinked drain hose. The machine cannot spin or spin properly until the pumps gets the water out of the tub.

Sometimes the drain hose get plugged or kinked and won't allow the water to be pumped out so make sure that is not an issue. But, I'm more inclined to believe this is a pump problem.

Water flowing back into washer after wash

There is a back flow valve attached to the outlet port of the drain pump. It is just a small rubber flap. This sometimes comes loose or remains open due to debris and allows the water in the drain hose to flow back into the machine after the drain pump shuts off. It can be checked by removing the drain hose from the pump inside of the machine. You will lose all of the water in your machine (about 1/2 gallon)when you do this so be prepared with a bunch of towels.
