Cant get psp to work

My PSP froze and switched itself off during UMD update, and hasnt turned back on since, only sign of life is when I plug the adapotor in, and thats only the orange power light. What shall I do? Worried its gunna cost a bomb to fix? Please help?

- wow I just had a break through! The light turned GREEN! But still no image etc. Please can someone help me????

- I have looked on gt electrics web site b4, they seem gr8 and all, and they gave me an online qoute, apparently the main or mother board needs replacing and it will cost around £20 to £30, which is great, I dont no how happy I am sending in the post, I kind of wanted it fixed quickly!

-   when power is switched on there is nothing on the screen, and then it turns off after 20 seconds or so.
Any ideas what is wrong?

send it of to gt elcetronics in csotland they will fix it and check it all up.

Try Holding the R trigger and turn the power on at the same time. This puts you in a different mode. Press the display brightness button to see the version. Power off and back on again to see if that resets it. This is only a guess I would appreciate at least a thanks for trying.

- OK ALL,

Your PSP is Bricked. This means that something interupted the upgrade. You will need to send it into the Playstation clinic for repair. It does not need a motherboard. Repair is only $20 plus shipping. Go to www.Playstationclinic.com

Your PSP is bricked. You will need a Pandora battery and memory stick. They are very easy to use. Just install the battery and memory stick and press X. That is it. Your PSP will be fixed.

can you help i have the same problem as the above i loaded a new game pressed the wrong button which stoped the update screen went blank however the green on light remains on but the sign of life what advice can you give me
