Blinks green, the red three times and pause then red threetime

Lamp door not closed is what it means but it is usually a issue:

Set has where the door is at a tiny lever (remove door to lamp) that is engaged by a plastic peg on the back of the lamp door--the lever is a safety switch to prevent set from being used with the door removed.

What happens in these sets is heat from the lamp can warp the door just enough so the peg no longer engages the lever.

Side note: some of these is got so bad it damages the housing where the lamp goes into the set--I have myself had to cut two doors to get them out-rare but can happen.

A simple way to prove or disprove this is take something not metal (I use a Q tip) and engage the lever forward---Turn set on and if it comes on the door is your problem.

DO NOT OPERATE SET FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME AND DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT LIGHT FROM THE LAMP AS IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR VISION.

WITH DOOR REMOVED DO NOT PUT OUTER PIECE BACK ON AS HEAT CAN MELT OR WARP IT ALSO.

IF SET COMES ON AND WORKS REPLACE THE DOOR.

Where is the safty switch on a philips dlp tv

What is the model of the set? If a DLP safety switch for lamp will be located either at door or behind the rear cover somewhere--if cover is removed on lamp door or rear of set it will prevent set from letting the lamp come on---you should get a blinking light on front of set --lamp.

Red light blinks 3 times

Yes, there were and are known issues--"lamp door not properly closed" means that but something else.

What happens is door is warped from heat from lamp----with door off set will not function due to the safety switch----want to know if switch/door are the real problem?

Engage switch with something not metal and try to turn set on--if it and lamp come on do not look at lamp directly----do not operate with level bypassed and door removed as heat can warp the outer plate if no door.

If it comes on door is the problem---look at it edgewise---if warped a little the tab on back of door that engages the lever does not do its job.

If does not come on with lever engaged something else is wrong.

There was a recall that has ended regarding this---some were so bad they melted the lamp housing and even fused the front door of the lamp to the plastic around it.

Let me know what you find.

I changed the lamp, but now the standby blinks green for about 10 seconds, then blinks red in 3's.

Check the lamp door cover. It will engage to safety switch when properly seat-in. When this switch is open your unit will not power up like what you've encountered right now. Go back to lamp assembly and check this part, re-install the lamp door cover and ensure that it will engaged to the switch.

Sony KDF-46E2000 green lights up then red light blinks 3 times no ricture blinks 3times again and again

be aware it means (3 blinks) lamp door is not closed properly------it is not the lamp door.

What happens here is the door becomes slightly warped from the heat from the lamp. When you remove the door you will if you look carefully see a small opening that lines up with a peg on the back of the door.

Inside the opening is a lever (very small) that is the safety switch-------if the door IS YOUR PROBLEM AND you engage the level with something not metal, the set will come on and function.

If this is the case hold the lamp door edgewise to examine it for bowing.

The door is available on the internet.

Red ligt blimks three times

The lamp door cover isn't secured properly or the lamp isn't inserted correctly. If they both check out good then the door switch is most likely defective.

The flashing yellow lamp light is indicating that the lamp door cover isn't installed properly or isn't contacting the door switch .

My ask proxima c180 does not power up. I have confirmed the power cable is firmly inserted. When I press the power button nothing happens

take the lamp door off and manually hold in the safety switch.(if you look at the lamp door and see the post, the post is what pushes the switch in normally) while holding the switch in, push the power button. try the button on the projector and the remote. if the unit powers up it means your lamp door is miss-shapen from the heat from the lamp. if this didn't fix you problem, you need a power supply.

Key on engine running trouble code 55

Warning Chime Systems The generic electronic module (GEM) will sound the following warnings:
  • key-in-ignition warning
  • safety belt warning
  • headlamp switch ON warning
  • door ajar warning
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Headlamp Switch On Warning The generic electronic module (GEM) sounds when the driver door is opened while the headlamp switch (11654) is in the PARK or HEAD position, and continues to sound at a rate of 4 chimes per second until the headlamp switch is turned off or the driver door is closed.
  • When the headlamp switch is in the PARK or HEAD position, power is supplied through Circuit 293 (O/R) to the GEM.
  • When the driver door is open, the driver door open warning lamp switch (10B997)is closed and ground is supplied to the generic electronic module (GEM).
A delayed headlamps on repetitive chime will sound for a period of three seconds beginning twenty seconds after the key is turned to OFF, LOCK or ACC, the headlamp switch is in the PARK or HEAD position, and the driver door is closed. Delayed headlamps on is terminated by opening and closing the driver door again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Door/Liftgate Ajar Warning The door/liftgate ajar warning functions as follows:
  • The generic electronic module (GEM) sounds a warning tone for one second when any vehicle door, liftgate window or the liftgate is ajar without any other door already open and the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
  • Power is then supplied through Circuit 627 (BK/O) to the door ajar warning indicator lamp which remains illuminated until all doors are closed or the ignition switch is no longer in the RUN position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key-in-Ignition Warning The generic electronic module (GEM) sounds when the LH front door is opened with the key in the ignition switch and continues to sound until the key is removed or the door is closed.
  • When the key is in the ignition switch, the ignition key warning switch terminal and wire (11A128) is closed and ground is supplied through Circuit 158 (BK/PK) to the generic electronic module (GEM).
  • When the LH front door is open, the LH front door open warning lamp switch (10B997) closes and ground is supplied through Circuit 57 (BK) to the generic electronic module (GEM).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Safety Belt Warning When the ignition switch is turned to RUN or START from the OFF or ACC position and remains in RUN or START, the chime will sound for six seconds or until the safety belt is buckled. The safety belt warning indicator lamp (10C859) will turn on for 60 seconds, or until the LH front safety belt is fastened. Both the chime and lamp activate at the same time. If the safety belt is buckled when the ignition key is turned to RUN or START from OFF or ACC, the lamp will prove out for two seconds, but chime will not be activated. Any time the key is changed to RUN from START while the safety belt warning indicator is activated, the safety belt warning indicator will remain activated until either the timing sequence has been executed, or the safety belt is buckled.
