The screen turns red and fuzzy what does it mean

Cost of repair would be hard to say right off, depends on what the problem is. If its the Red Tube, sometimes shops will sale you a good used Tube, Problem could also be in the Focus block control depends on part cost and labor charges.Try adjusting the RED SCREEN Drive Control on the Focus Block turn level of RED Down ,then see what happens.

Need to replace the focus block replacem

focus block is usually located down in front of the TV behind a front access door. It has several wires going to it from the respective RGB picture tubes and has 6 adjustable controls on it. Need the model number to find part number through an RCA servicer or distributor.

RCA FLYBACK

Hello: The first thing is optaining the exact replacement part. Next there are approixmately 12 pins on the bottom of the deflection board where the part is located that need to be unsoldered there is a slightly thick red wire coming from the top of it that goes into the splitter block and a thin red one that goes to the focus Block, each need to be removed. To get to the focus block the lower front cover of your television needs to be removed Reverse the procedure to install the flyback transformer. You may want to purchase a soldering iron and some solder wick, commonly known as desoldering braid from radio shack.

Please leave comment...Thx
