Problem with left side hydrostatic transmission

On my 2005 cub cadet zero turn my left wheel will stop functioning after about 45 minutes of use. I can wait about 30 minutes and it will start functioning correctly again. It does make a low moaning noise sometimes. It will do this every time that I use it.

This is a well documented problem with cub cadet ZT transmissions. They tend to go bad after 200 hours of use. Sometimes having the dealer change the transmission oil will help (they need to remove the transmissions to do this!). Most times, the transmission is gone & must be replaced ($800-$900).

Sound to me like a design defect. My ZT-50 lasted only 4 years. Needless to say, the replacement was not a cub cadet.

Why is my Series 1000 LT1024 Hydrostatic Drive Cub Cadet not pulling?

In most cases the hydrostatic drives are not made by the company tractor or lawnmower.
This is in the owners manual.

Hydrostatic Transmission
The hydrostatic transmission is sealed at the factory
and is maintenance free. The fluid level cannot be
checked nor can the oil be changed. Always keep the
area around the transmission cooling fan free of grass
and debris at all times

Cub cadet i1042 zero turn doesnt seem to want to go forward when turning or even going strait sit moves very slow and when i go up a little hill it stops half way and then creeps up the hill it use to

If it's a hydrostatic transmission, I would have the transmission looked at. You may need to "purge" the system and check the fluid level.

The ones I've done called for the drive disconnects (the rod or lever which allows you to roll the tractor when the engine is shut down) to be in the flow bypass position. They also wanted the wheels off the floor, then the engine to be started, & the direction control to be worked SLOWLY to the front & rear positions 10-12 times. Then put the bypass valve back in its 'drive' position, fire the engine again & repeat the slow cycle of the direction control. The unit SHOULD be quieter now & perform better, but double check the oil level because expelling the air may have dropped it too low.

On my cu cadet zero turn only the left side turns and the right side moans but wont move ever with the release lever to free wheel released

Check the hydraulic oil level for the hydrostat drives(if it has a reserve tank located under the seat. Some ZT's don't have the reserve tank. Don't over fill that tank. 1/4 inch above the bottom is all it needs.)

Also, check the steering arm bolts. Very often they work themselves loose and the arm doesn't pull the valve rod that controls the hydrostat unit.

On my 2007 cub cadet zero turn my right wheel will stop working

This does not sound good if its still under warranty get it back there asap... sounds like a lazy drive weather its juat a faulty drive or your hydro pump not feeding that side, it should not be unservicable after 90hrs... even if its out of warranty get it fixed asap as the metal may spread to your pump or other drives and that will be very expensive.

Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.
