Use a manometer to insure lp gas pressure is correct. The regulator for the stove may need adjusting. The air mixture adjustment may not be correct for PL as well.

Knob too hard to turn on and off burners

This would need greasing the controls dry out and you get brass on brass take the control knob off there are two screws you can remove and take the plug out and grease it with black control grease . then replace this should then work .

Model #14116670 bq grill low (and sometimes no flame).Sometimes 2 out 4 burners work well

The problem you're having is the result of the OPD (Overfill Protection Device) Vale in the grill tank.
This occurs when the gas tank valve is opened to fast. Or the tank is low on gas.

To solve this problem, first be sure you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out OK, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the exact same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you
solved the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!
Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I bought a dcs fryer at a restaurant auction. I had it installed in my restaurant, and when I got it going flames were shooting out of the back. I had it looked at, but because there is no serial number...

The difference between Natural Gas Set Up and Propane Gas Set Up on Fryers are as follows:
Natural gas burner orifice has larger bore (#52) than Propane Gas burner orifice (#55 or #56).
Gas Valve's spring kit for natural gas has less tension (thinner) than Propane.
You have to order burner orifice ( the quantity depends on the number of burners your fryer has), pilot orifice and Gas Valve Spring Kit for Propane Gas if your fryer is set for Natural Gas or vice versa.

Can't get even flame on burners

Natural gas and Propane operate at different pressures known as WATER COLUMN INCHES and require different jets to work properly.
If you have changed the jets ( installed in the correct direction) and are using a new LP regulator You should be good to go. If you are using the old Nat Gas regulator it just ain't a goin a work

Dcs 48" gas range igniter comes back when set on low/simmer

This is not a solution but something to think about for troubleshooting.
On the DCS there are two ports that feed gas to the burner.
One for high flame and one for simmer.
On the DCS if the flame is snuffed out on simmer it will automatically reignite.
So if the igniter will not shut off while on simmer, the sensor is bad and is trying to reignite the burner.
