SOURCE: Not Sucking the dirty water

There is a panel on the front of the waste tank. Be sure that this panel is secure.
You will know that this is the problem because no matter how many times
you replace the waste tank, it still won't **** up the dirty water. You sure
wonder if Hoover ever tested this model. I would never purchase one again.

Hoover carpet cleaner not picking up water

Assure the ring gasket is in place under the hood. A round rubber gasket must be in place on the round tube under the hood where the recovery tank sits to connect the vacuum from the motor to the round tube on the bottom of the tank.

In addition, make sure the recovery tank lid is properly aligned to the tank to seal.

Lastly, make sure the square duct is latched in place in front of the recovery tank, that links the nozzle plate to the tank lid.

Hoover vacuum carpet cleaner will not sucktion (sic)

No, this cleaner uses no belts.
If you are having a suction problem, first check that the lid on the recovery tank is lined up to the tank when installed to get a good seal.
Second, remove the tank and make sure the round black rubber seal is present on the pipe from the base that aligns with the bottom of the recovery tank. That seal connects the vacuum from the motor to the recovery tank.

No water in the drain tank so is not picking up the water. What???

Two checks:
(1) Is the lid sealed to the recovery tank at the black lid gasket?
(2) Is the round seal gasket in place on the suction tube, under the hood? That tubular pipe seals to the tube on the bottom of the recovery tank.

My hoover steam cleaner will not pick up the water the machine pu

Two checks:
(1) Is the lid aligned and sealed to the recovery tank
(2) Is the round rubber gasket installed on the tubular post under the hood, where the tank seals to the base? The tube extending down from the tank must sit on the rubber seal to get vacuum from the motor.

Lost suction after empting the tank, wasworking but now not!!!!!!!

This cleaner uses no belts. Check these items:
(1) Is the lid sealed to the recovery tank?
(2) Is the rubber seal in place under the hood. There must be a rubber seal on the round tube that connects to the bottom of the recovery tank when it sets in to the cleaner base to connect the vacuum to the tank.
