Are you asking about the fuel lines or the trimmer string? And if it is the trimmer string, is it a single string or duel string trimmer? Jim

SOURCE: troy built weed eater won't feed line

Check the size of the line,(OD), make sure you are using the correct size, sometimes cheap line will be problematic, also, you said you are re-stringing it, try a new batch of string, the old string inside the hub can get chaffed and will stick to itself...

SOURCE: Need info on putting line on troy bilt 4-cycle

Hold orange spool containing string while twisting the black plastic cap in the center, counterclockwise. This retaining cap is loosely spring loaded, so watch for the spring falling out. Once this locking cap is removed, the spool pulls right off.

SOURCE: how to change trimmer ine in tb525cs

You need to unscrew the black bumper button. I believe it is counter-clockwise. Mine was very tight and took a pair of channel lock pliers to loosen.

SOURCE: Cannot disassemble Troy-bilt trimmer head

There is a round, rotary black part between the metal piece to which the cutting head attaches and the outer plastic seat of the cutting head. There are two square slots, each about a quarter inch wide, on opposites sides of the black piece. Slide an Allen wrench or something similar firmly into the slot. Holding the Allen wrench in a stable position, turn the outer plastic ring of the cutting head (it has scalloped edges that can be gripped firmly) counter clockwise to unscrew the cutting head from the bolt on which it is mounted. Be careful with the tool (e.g. Allen wrench) used to hold the black piece steady, as it is plastic and could be damaged by the edge of the tool.

How do you do you but the LINE in a gas fired weed eater troy built

The owners/users manual that comes with these units always explains this in good detail. Go here to view those pages in a Troy Bilt trimmer manual. You will need Adobe Reader. Scroll thru the pages till you get to the section on replacing the string.

Fuel line size for troy built TB20CS weed eater

You probably have found the solution by now I would assume... TB won't tell you this because they want you to buy their stuff..
You probably are looking at the 0.08" diameter that's just a bit smaller than the 3/32". Hope this helps....
