I would remove the blade and flanges and try it without them and see if it is still there. Also when removing check the tightness of the blade it could be loose and spinning freely when coasting. It could be a couple things bearings first and then from there gear noise. How old is the tool and when was the last time it was serviced and the grease checked and or replaced. Let me know if I can help further and I will try and come up with more suggestions

I had the same problem with my Bosch. I ended up removing the new belt and cleaning the entire belt pathway. It works fine now, I never saw any debris or problems.

Ryobi 10 in Mitre saw with laser, switch / motor wiring diagram?

capacitors are known as capacitors or condensers. Both do the same job of storing electrical energy and then releasing it when the current flows back . They are used to either start an electric motor or stop arcing on the brushes by absorbing the current flow as it stops over each commuter bar of the armature

Mitre saw running, but not switched on?

there should be no power going anywhere until you pull on the trigger. With that in mind I would be looking at the switch for the fault

Macallister mitre saw sparking

I would plug it into another outlet first. The small arcing that you see might be normal especially on stopping because of the brake. If another outlet doesn't work then I would take it back. Upon startup this saw will draw more than the rated running amps.

Electric blade brake sounds like it is seized up. Upon starting table saw (bosch 4000), motor sounds like it is binding. How can I disengage the brake??

There is no electric brake on the Bosch 4100 table saw. If the motor sounds like it is being held back its possible the rear armature bearing has seized or the field coil is faulty. Both these problems cause the motr to not turn at full speed. The motor must be serviced.

I am trying to re-assemble a DW707 Type 2 mitre saw and there is a ball bearing and a bush that I do not know where they go - can you help please?

Alright, it took some doing, but I found a diagram for this saw, here is the link. Do to the fact you have it in front of you, I would imagine that this exploded diagram will help alot. You know what you have there, and I expect you will be able to figure out from this diagram where the extra pieces go. Good luck!

Motor replacement for Bosch Mitre saw

Most often the entire motor doesn't go bad. It would be a componen't like armature, field, brushes, Switch. I very seldomly see a whole motor go bad. look for a single problem. The saw is not junk it is very repairable with some testing of parts.
