Hi: My acer56c is eight years old and humms while turned on as well as getting the horizontally linear blue occasional flash across screen. The colors when turned on are not 'initially' accurate(Orange vista logo may be light blue). Is it wise connecting this to a brand new DELL ? BMW

If its a CRT monitor then you wont have a problem, the all get decrepid and loose color flicker then eventualy die.
i say use it till it dies then get a new one or get a new one befor it dose damage to your eyes, a nice TFT screen will do.

Blurry screen KP61hs10

Yes, Convergence settings should be tried first before any color adjustment or any fluid changes are done. Remember that there are 3 colors to notice. Red, Green, Blue. The Green is the only one that you can not move with an adjustment The Red and Blue is ligned up on green. Some cases it does matter how linear the Green color is across the board, just how close you get the blue and red on top of green is what matters.
