Well, you cannot get the wep key unless you have 1 pc that is wired into port 1 on that router. If you are wired to port 1, log in to the router and go to wireless, and look for wireless security. there you can change or remove wep keys. If you cannot log in, then you should reset the router and contact dlink to have an expert guide you through setup. Wep keys are not needed if you live in an open area, but if you live in a close knit housing area or in an apartment complex, they are a good idea to keep other people from stealing your bandwidth. In my own case I had a wp key for awhile, but decided that i would remove it and just use an open wifi. My signal is not strong enough to reach more than 30 yards, so unless you are parked beside my house you cannot get my signal. That is usually good, but sometimes I wish I had internet at my neighbors house, ha ha.

Hello, I have the router D-link WBR-2310. I managed to set up my notebook in order to access the Internet (LAN and WLAN). But I need to access the Internet, at the same time, with another computer. How can I do it? (my server allows me to use two computers at the same time, by two different IP ports). I have an other notebook, and I can see the network (wireless). I also have a desktop, and I can see that it is connected to the network. But I can not access the Internet. I'd appreciate some help. Daniel (from Brazil).

Clarification: I have the ssid set and can access the internet, just can't access the linux file server that is wired to the router. The servers are not showing up in networked computers
