You can find a manual or info here, & here.
As far as tires, you'll just have to search the web. Link here. Maybe you could install the wider tire and trim it to fit after.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Will 20 inch rims destroy your transmission?

The overall circumference of the tire - regardless of the rim diameter - is what creates strain on the transmission. Typically tires mounted on oversized rims have a low profile (shorter sidewall height) so the difference isn't as bad when compared to trucks with extra large tires designed for off-road / swamp.

You can find out the difference easily by measure the height of the tire - top to bottom. This is the diameter. Multiply this number by 3.14 to find the circumference. A tire 24" high has a 75.36" circumference and a 25" tire is 78.5. Every inch in height causes a 3.14" inch change in circumference and will make your speedometer report a speed that is slower than actual and odometer less, too.

What is the difference between tire size 255/70 and 265/70

Hello Projocs03,

Tires are typically measured tire width (sidewall)/tire ride height/wheel size. The differences of the two tire sizes you published are .4 of an inch difference in width/sidewall. And about .55 in over all diameter which would impact you revs per rotation. Depending on your wheel size.

Attached is a comparison of the two given the variable of 17" rim.

I added the above link so you can research further or change any variables you need to know. However, the most important thing to understand is the impact of your speedometer. Different sizes will have different impacts. For example going to a bigger tire will show a slower speed on your spedo that your traveling.

Good luck

Why the r15 tyres are thin than yamahar6

r15 is the 15" diameter of the rim, and on the yamaha r6 is 17", but the wide of the tire is in milimeters so the yamaha tyre 180/50 17R means: 180mm wide tiry, 55% of 180mm is the thicknes of the tire an 17R is diameter of the rim.
Un bicycle it's usual much thiner tire. 2" or so....

Can 215/65/16 tires on a 1999 Caravan be swapped for 205/60/16 tires?

Yes, you'll be o.k. They don't recommend anything over 3% difference, and your at about 1.8%. Speedo will read 61 mph when actually doing 60 mph. Have a look.

Can i fit wider tire on rear of 98 RSTD

There are some practical limitations to how much larger the tires in the rear can be - the clearance between the sidewall of the existing tire and the torque tube (driveshaft housing) AND the width of the wheel (15X4"). I measured the distance between the widest part of the sidewall and the torque tube, and found it to be 15.8mm. To allow a little clearance (very little, indeed) the new tire can be as wide as 180mm. Now, that's a pretty decently sized tire...

Before you begin to get too excited, though, remember the SECOND limitation? The rim is only 4" wide. If you check tire charts, you'll discover that for each inch of rim width, you can only accommodate 40mm of tire width. 4 times 40mm equals a maximum of 160mm. You're now, unfortunately, left with a maximum sectional width of 160, therefore, the largest tires you can mount are 160/90-15's or 160/80-15's. An Internet search will reveal that 160/90-15 are nonexistant, and only three manufacturers offer 160/80-15's - Metzler (ME880), Bridgestone (G702) and Maxxis (M6011).

Sounds not to good, huh? Actually, if you calculate the height of the stock 150/90-15, it comes up to 167mm (6.575 in.), total wheel/tire diameter of 28.15 inches; the height of the 160/80-15 calculates out to 200mm (7.875 in.), total wheel/tire diameter of 30.75 inches. That'll make an awful lot of difference in how your odometer registers...

Tire size please

Laura, from factory the car came with 215 x 55 x 17``tires. The actual number is printed on the sidewall.
< This means you have 17`` rims, with 215 mm tire tread width and the sidewall height of the tire is equal to 55% of the tread width. This is referred to as the tires profile...
If by chance you are shopping for snow tires you can install a complete 16`` winter wheel set , tires and rims with the same overall outer diameter as a 17`` set, because the 16 or 17 only defines the hole size in the tire ....however the sidewall height and tread width would be different on a 16``tire.

Hi i have a craftman bench 10 inch bandsaw that has blade drif

The problem could be one of two things. The tires could be worn or glazed with rosin. Try cleaning the tires with mineral spirits to remove the build-up. The other possibility is that the pulleys are out of alignment. To check this, put a straight edge across the face of the lower pulley and see if squares with the upper pulley, if it doesn't, loosen the set screw on the upper pulley and adjust accordingly

I suggest you stick with the stock tire size. If you don't, the speedometer will not read correctly. With a smaller tire if the speedo says 65 you will really be doing 55 or so. The actual mileage driven will be off as well. The lower profile tires also do not cushion the rim as well. The spokes are more likely to get out of whack. It is also harder on the brakes since the brake disk is spinning faster to go the same distance as a stock tire would be turning.
