Can you tell me what the internal wires are on the inside of of a 29 ltd chrome i need the sheilded wire and audio wires

Here is an idea you can try ; Take the mic plug and look where # 1 is that will be the shield then look where pin 2 is and that will be your audio. I hope this helps GOOD LUCK Dan

How do I disable talkback on my cobra 29 ltd radio


check to see if its hook to the speaker jack. if it is just clip the resister. if its hooked to a dial then you are in hot water. follow the wires from those variables to see where they go . when you find the right one clip it.,no more talk back.

Burnt one of the lead power wires of plug in on the inside and do not have wiring diagram to see where it goes, where do I go to get diagram for the wiring of the Cobra LTD Classic.


I don't know how well that radio is going to work even if you repair the bad wire. You may have blown the protection diode, D23, which is an N10014, and easy to fix however, you may have done much worse. You could have blown the audio chip, and maybe even the PLL.

If you blew the PLL then it's not even worth fixing.

Cobra 29 ltd chrome quit transmiting still have pa and talk back changed driver and final still nothing any ideas


Have you check your voltage regulator. 2 outer legs should read 13 volts middle 9 volt. Around and about.

I have a Cobra 29 NW LTD Classic I have power going to radio but no power when i turn on knob. i have looked inside for a fuse but can not find one.


did you look for power comming out of your power switch....
dont tell me that you hooked it up backwards. if you did check the imput diodes

Wires pulled off a cobra mic 75wxst 5 pin connector


1) violet 2) blue 3 ) shield 4) yellow 5) grnd Violet inside the mic is the power wire . Blue and yellow are the internal and external speakers. the other wires are to the antenna
