Question about Toshiba Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a model number 32D46 that I got from my brother and I can't get it to go to the video in imput mode... I don't have a remote for it and was wondering if there was a combination of volume and channel buttons that I could use.

Sorry, there is no key combination that will allow you to select the Video mode.
You can get the manual at: http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/tacpassets-images/models/32D46/docs/32D46_om_e.pdf
I can recommend something like the Harmony 555 remote - definitely will control your TV and all your other devices as well!

I have an RCA Commercial Monitor-Rceiver television Model # J27435. The imputs are all functional but I don not have the manufactuers remote. Therefore I am using a universal RCA remote control but cannot...

I knew that model looked familiar! That's a hotel/lodging TV, my friend. A standard RCA (Universal or not) will NOT work on that TV. It needs a MASTER remote to be able to access the master menu and unlock the inputs, My company does telecom and we deal specifically with extended-stay lodging and we deal with these sets all the time. They are designed to keep the guests out of the higher functions. this si an old TV so they aren't easy to find. Here's a link to a Google search for a replacement ( I made it tiny so the thing didn't fill the whole page.). I looked at the eBay link and it seems like a very good deal (and, yes, if you scroll down in the listing, your model is listed). http://tinyurl.com/244889-R130k2-RCA-Master-Rem

Remote doesn't go to who imput

I'm afraid, if there's no such a button on satellite remote control, the only way is to replace your spoiled remote control with a new one on the electronic part's shop.

Using remote to play video DVD

You need to bypass your A/V tuner for your video connections (if possible). Plug your video directly into the TV and audio into the tuner. This will also give you a cleaner signal/picture as it does not have to processed by your tuner BEFORE it goes to your tv. Think of it as cutting out the middle man. Your tuner is best left for powering your speaker and not controlling your video despite all of the available connections in the back of it.

I would also get rid of your VHS and cassette players as they are dead technology. Clean up your system and remove the clutter. This will lessen your chance of getting interference. Good luck!!
