My Troy bilt 675 190cc was left out side about 3 months now it won't start what can be the problem
First of all add some fresh gas. chances are it may have leaked off or is gummed up..then remove you plug and with the wire attached have someone hold the spark plug firing end against the engine head an pull or if electric start spin the engine you should see spark between the gap or from the plug to the engine head..if you have spark cover the plug end with tape then spin the engine again tto clear the cylinders of old gas.. clean clean or replace the plug..before replacing get some starting fluid spay some in the plug hole and some on the plug and replace the plug..and try to start..from there you may want to spray a little in the carb...just be careful it is very explosive so easy on the spray...and keep clear if the carb area. May have some backfire....if this starts but won't keep running try it several times. If nothing your carb will need to be cleaned..good luck..
SOURCE: where do i find serial numbers on troy bilt horse tillers
On the old Gardenways Horse the serial number is stamped into the top of a little flange on the side of the transmission just to the right (viewed from behind) of where the handles attach. It may be covered in gunk so a douse of mineral spirits and a little scraping will reveal it.
You can download the manual and parts list from the Troybuilt site. Enter "HORSE" for the model and the serial number.
Hi,
You will find the diagram on the left side of the deck as you sit on tractor by left foot. It will be located under the foot pedal that has the routing diagram specifically for your Troy-Bilt mower model. Note that owner's manuals may not have the most current schematic.
Also you can check this link to download the diagram:-
