In consulting http://www.androidtablets.net people having exact same problem advise to Press Power Button whilst at same time Hold down the Volume Button. Hold these down till the Tablet resets and all should be fine
Press and hold Call/Cut buttons(green/red) and soft-reset with the stylus. Keep holding the Call/Cut buttons till you get a message on screen saying "This will erase all your personal data" message on screen. Then press 'action' (enter button) to hard reset.
And to enter the bootloader: (Required sometimes while flashing ROMs)
Hold down the camera button and reset device with the stylus. Keep holding the camera button until you see 'tricolor' bootloader screen.
You will need to do a 'Hard reset' !
This is how the the procedure goes for the ipod touch:

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
Hi, unplug the power cable Press and hold # and 6 on the
printer while keeping these tow buttons on hold plug the power cable
back in . when the screen goes off release the buttons and press the
power button to turn the printer on. it ll perform a semiful reset on
the printer . if the issue still persists then unplug the power cable again

Maybe cause by a corrupt boot loader in the device, upgrading the firmware will help resolve this issue. Perform Recovery mode on the player. Enable Hold Switch + Press and hold record button + Press And hold menu or power button until it says on the screen welcome to recovery mode. Then download the sansa firmware updater on your computer and perform the update.
