I have a media lounge DPG 1200. It worked right out of the box but now I cannot connect my PC to the device as it should automatically do when the software app is started. I can uninstall the entire package and then reinstall without much difficulty but not each time I want to use it... Dlink customer support is horrible. Can anyone help?

    If you are suggesting that I roll back my operating system on my pc then I do not think you understand the problem. Let me try to better explain. The computer has been fine. The dlink device is new. I load the software from the cd and follow the directions to the letter. The dlink device connects to my router and to my tv and then my computer connects to it and all is well. If I then shut the computer off or the dlink device then when everything is back up and running, like the next day, the wireless signal can be seen by pc running Windows XP, signal strength is pegged but it is as if the dlink device is on a different network. My computer cannot connect with the software (PC on TV) that dlink provides and there is no way I know of to browse to the device to view configuration settings. Are you familiar with dlink products... specifically this device? Thanks for any further assistance.

    I think that someone familiar with dlink media lounge products might be best to help with this problem. But any ideas are good ones as the support from dlink was only good if you want to hear yourself repeat the problem to level 1 tech, then level 2, then level.....Help please

You can access the routers set up by going to your internet address bar and type 192.168..1.1 You can double check any settings. The router's address but be in range of the pc's address.
Also make sure you have the latest drivers downloaded on the pc for the internet card.
You may want to check the network settings and use the "repair" option for the pc to try and repair the connection.

A huge THANK YOU to the person who did the work that Epson
should be doing.

Without the scanner turned on, I downloaded the file, unziped it
and extracted the files. I then ran the .exe
After that I turned on the scanner and let Win 7 install the device.
Simple as pie.

I have two problems. there is a three second lag fom the computer to the dlink wich makes watching video frustrating. the other is the ball on the remote has stopped working


The video problems are generally bandwidth problems.
First, on your laptop set the 802.11g adapter settings as follows. I found an obscure section in the DPG-1200 software help index where they define settings for your 802.11g adapter, and these make a big difference.

Transmit power = highest
wireless mode = 802.11g
throughput enhancement = enabled.
roaming aggressiveness = Lowest
Ad Hoc Power Management = Disabled
Turn off the ability of the computer to turn off this device to save power.
This can be enough. Remember to press the green button to put your laptop in "Video" mode when playing video. Won't work properly otherwise (is a lower resolution).
If you still have problems then you need to increase your bandwidth on your laptop. Plug it into an ethernet (that worked for me). I also have an 802.11n adapter on order which should work too.
As for your ball issue. Reset everything and the connection. If that doesn't fix it, you need a new remote.

A friend gave her iriver mp3 player to my sister and won't connect to the computer saying that the driver is not installed but she's downloaded it twice. why won't it work?

after you have downloaded go to my computer / connect the iriver you shoud see another drive appear..and if this is windows xp it really should come up automatic...

How can I stop my 8gb clip automatically downloading my library i do not want all my library on my clip


1) Connect your Clip to your PC.

2) If Windows Media Player doesn't run automatically, run it.

3) On the left side of Windows Media Player, right-click on your Clip and select "Set Up Sync".

4) If you don't want songs to be synced automatically to your Clip when you connect it, uncheck "Sync this device automatically."

5) If you do want songs to be synced automatically, but not your entire library, check "Sync this device automatically", then click on the playlists you DON'T want to sync under the "Playlists to sync" list, and then click on the "Remove" button.

Wen i delete music from the library in windows media player it also deletes it from my philips gogear mix how do i stop this


Hello,

Playlists to sync on the player can be set in Windows Media Player.
When selecting the Library or Sync tab in WMP full view, the GoGear is visible on the left side in the list.
The player can be either connected seeing the player's icon or not connected seeing the player's map name.

Right click the GoGear Mix and select Setup Sync...
The box, Sync this device automatically probably is selected.
Prevent the player from unattended synchronizing by unchecking this box: Especially when you're removing lists on the computer frequently.
Setup the the playlists to sync first and synchronize manually after that.
Temporary "Sync this device automatically'' must be selected, to be able to edit the playlists to synchronize.

On the right half of the Device Setup screen there''s the "Playlists to sync''.
Under playlists to synchronize, first remove all playlists or those you are going to delete in the library, before synchronizing.

I tried 15 times to call and get help from D-Link support what a headache! I have a d-link router and I think it is causing a conflict between the 2 Now I get a windows error : There is an ip address...


I use the dir-655 router and have no problems. Follow the quickstart manual (folded page) that came with your device....and plug the DPG-1200 into the router using ethernet directly (only initially so you can set it up). Use DHCP so there should be no IP address conflict.
You can reset the box using the reset button next to the IR port.

You may first want to check to see if your player came with software that can aid in this process. You'll also need to know what formats of media your player accepts. For these purposes, we'll assume your player accepts mp3 format media and connects to your PC via USB.

1. Connect the device to a USB connection on your computer.
2. If you're using Windows, your computer should automatically detect the device, probably showing it as a removable hard disk.
3. Double-click the removable USB device that your computer now sees and here you will have to browse to see where your player will accept the media; likely, right here will work.
4. Now, just copy & paste mp3 files from your pc to your media player/removable USB device.
5. When done, safely remove the player from the computer.

Dell Inspiron 1200 CD/RW \ DVD Rom combo drive


Try this:- Go to my computer>properties>hardware>device manager and look down the list for your cd/dvd drives and click the '+' sign then highlight your dvd drive and right click to delete. Restart the pc and windows will find the drive again automatically and install the drivers. See if that sorts it.
