School Books
There are many different routes that you may go to acquire your wanted books.
If there is something specific that you're looking for, try searching half.com, amazon.com, or craigslist. My assumption is you will be using these books in conjunction with another book. So, you can look for books in your desired field and there will be a whole slew of them.
If you are using this for just study materials (most books have sections of questions and answer along with focal points) I'd suggest to buy the previous edition of the book and not the most current. The previous edition is basically obsolete in any classroom but when I was in college, I made a mistake in my purchase and I got the previous edition. So I had to purchase one of the newest editions for a cd I believe. The books were nearly identical. But the price was much higher for the newest edition. Also, to save some more money, you can buy the international version that is the same exact book, but usually a paperback copy. International versions cannot be sold back to the book store.
You can also walk into a library that would have some textbooks. College libraries have those books as well, but many times they are rented for chunks of time. Lastly, a college book store would have used copies of books. I don't recommend this option if you are trying to pinch pennies.
Thanks!
