E000 Indicates either of the following: the main thermistor (TH1) has poor contact or an open circuit; the thermal switch (TP1) has an open circuit; the main/sub heater has an open circuit; the main power supply PCB is faulty; the DC controller PCB is fatly; the door switch is faulty.
In the case of E000 through E003, the code will not be reset when the main power switch is turned off, requiring the use of service mode (COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERROR). However, if E001 or E003 is detected within 3 sec after the front door switch is identified to have been opened or closed, the code will be reset when the main power switch is turned off and then on. This consideration is to prevent a service call in response to an error detected when the switch operation is not fully stable (as immediately after turning off and then on the main power switch).
E002/E000/E003/E261/E733 Error code: Due to AC line noise Error Code
E002/E000/E003/E261/E733: due to AC line noise.
E002/E000/E003/E261/E733 occur due to AC line noise. If the above error codes are frequently recorded in the error log, they might concern AC line noise.
When the machine tries to detect a Zero-cross signal of AC line, it will fail if a noise occurred around the zero-cross point. Since the fixing temperature is controlled based on the zero-cross signal, there is a possibility that the fixing temperature could not rise properly if a noise occurs several times.
Replace the Switching Regulator PCB ***'y with a new one. 120V: FH3-2613 220V/240V: FH3-2614 The circuit has been modified to resist a noise.
Caution Press (* then 2 and 8 together then *)you are in service mode monitor:To clear the error, execute the following in service mode: COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.
Have you worked on the copier or has a service person just worked on the copier? The error code deals with the motor M3 not getting a signal to turn ON. Make sure you turn the copier Off and unplug it from the wall...... Then take the back cover OFF and look for connector J3040-2... The connector is most likely only part way in... Disconnect and reconnect it... Also, make sure all the other connection are all in correctly.... Good Luck.....
Did you press additional funcation? You have to in order to get in to service mode. Then go to copier, then funcation, then CLR/ Clear, then ERR, the hit the OK on the display, then turn the main power switch OFF then back ON. It should reset the code, if not you have a problem with the fixing unit.
This is hard drive failure. If you another code other than 003 you may have gotten away with a scan disk, but not always. in your case the hard drive has died. a Canon Technician will need to replace it and re-install the machine's system software
